Welcome to "My Journey," a channel created by your friendly neighborhood adventure junkie, Eu Gene! I'm the kind of guy who thinks a comfortable ride is overrated and would rather explore the world on a skateboard, unicycle, or pogo stick (if I could master it).
As a passionate motorcycle rider and traveler, I live by the motto of "Race the Rain, Ride the Wind, and Chase the Sunsets!" But let's be honest, there are times when I end up racing the wind, riding the rain, and chasing my own tail instead.
I've travelled to 78 countries across the globe and have made plenty of mistakes along the way, from ordering food I couldn't pronounce to getting lost in translation with the locals. But hey, that's what makes it an adventure, right?
So join me on this wild ride as I share my experiences, insights, and the occasional dad joke. After all, who said travelling can't be both fun and informative? Let's go somewhere and make some memories!
I'm also going to show you a handy trick to start your bike without a charger

Embarking on a journey from Port Shepstone to Hogsback, I had no idea the adventure that awaited me
On the second day of our weekend getaway at Keurboom River Cabin, the weather took a turn for the worse, and we found ourselves surrounded by rain. But this did not deter us from enjoying the cosy comforts of our cabin, where we spent the day sipping on delicious local wines by the warmth of the fireplace.
As the rain pattered gently against the windows, we indulged in hearty and delicious braaivleis (barbecue) - a quintessential South African meal - which we prepared on the braai (barbecue) outside. The aroma of grilled meat filled the air, adding to the cosy ambience of our retreat.
Despite the dreary weather outside, we were warm and content inside the cabin, surrounded by the comforts of home and the natural beauty of the Keurboom River Nature Reserve. As we sat by the fire and sipped on wine, we enjoyed the company of good friends, swapping stories and laughing as we made memories that will last a lifetime.
Join us as we recount our cosy and heartwarming day two, an experience that showcased the beauty of South African culture and the warmth of its people.
